Sheddsville Cemetery is located on Cemetery Road, just to the east of its intersection with Cowshed Trail. The Sheddsville Cemetery is owned and operated by the Town of West Windsor. Inquiries may be made to the West Windsor Town Clerk at 802-484-7212 or via email at ayates@westwindsorvt.org.

Community Bulletin Board

There is a Community Bulletin Board along Route 44 for advertising local events. If you would like to post information about an upcoming local event, please follow these guidelines:

The West Windsor Selectboard designated Linda Ley as the coordinator for the Community Bulletin Board along Route 44. Please reach out to Linda at parrishill@comcast.net to inquire about advertising in this space.

For visibility, posters should be at least 28" long and 22" wide, and lettering should be at least 3" high. The idea is to have one or two large posters easily visible by people driving by in a vehicle.

ECFiber, of which West Windsor is a member, is a consortium of local municipalities bringing high-speed fiber-optic internet and telephone service to homes and businesses in participating towns.

The ECFiber Governing Board, with two delegates appointed by the Selectboards of each member town, meets monthly on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. The meetings are usually held at the Vermont Law School in South Royalton, and are also available via streaming.

Vermont Solid Waste District - Household Hazardous Waste Depot

The Southern Windsor/Windham Counties Solid Waste District’s household hazardous waste depot (HHW Depot) in Springfield, is open through September, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, by appointment.

Make an appointment by going online to the calendar at www.vtsolidwastedistrict.org or by calling 802-674-9235. There is a fee of $10 per vehicle for up to ten gallons of HHW. Cash or check – no credit or debit cards. Bring in as much paint as you want – there is no charge for that since people who buy paint in Vermont pay a fee on each can which helps to pay for its recycling or proper disposal. There is a list online of what we take. We can also send you one. Just call and ask.

You won’t wait in line. We will remove the material from your car or truck, accept your money, and you can get on with your day. We hope to see you soon.

Weathersfield Dump and Transfer Station

West Windsor residents may use the Weathersfield Dump and Transfer station for trash and recycling if they have a valid Transfer Station Permit ("dump sticker"). The town does not provide garbage pick up services, although commercial options are available.

Dump stickers are available at the West Windsor Town Office. To dispose of trash, you need a punch card in addition to a dump sticker. Punch cards are available at the Town Office and at the gas station/convenience store at Downer’s Corners at the intersection of Route 106 and Route 131. You can dispose of two 13-gallon kitchen trash bags (or one 30-gallon bag) for one punch.

Cost: Dump stickers cost $75 each and are good for one year (July 1 – June 30). Punch cards cost $42.40 for 10 punches or 21.25 for 5 punches. Forms of payment are cash or check only.  Please make checks out to the Town of West Windsor.
