Hello West Windsor Community,
The Town of West Windsor has embarked on a very exciting planning project, Brownsville: Between the Bridges and Beyond! Please join us on Saturday, June 15th at 10:00am at Story Memorial Hall in West Windsor for a conversation about this project. A remote meeting option (login details below) will also be available for interested parties unable to attend in person.
To allow parents of young children the opportunity to participate in person, the staff at Mary Blood Library will be providing children’s crafts and games across the street at the library.
The goal of Brownsville: Between the Bridges and Beyond is to foster a more inviting and user-friendly village center in Brownsville, with a strong and resilient local economy that serves residents and visitors. This project aims to achieve this by identifying, detailing, and illustrating practical, appealing, and community-supported strategies to enhance:
- public safety (including flood resilience)
- accessibility and connections around the village and with the mountain
- logical parking capacity for residents and visitors, including during events
- diverse opportunities to live, work and play in and around Brownsville
For more information, please visit the project website. There is a public survey available to garner as much feedback as possible, which we encourage you to complete!
This project is funded by a grant from Vermont's Better Connections Program, which is a unique partnership of the Agency of Transportation (VTrans), the Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD), the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), and the Department of Public Health (VDH).
This conversation is expected to last about an hour and a half, and we sincerely hope that you can join us.
If you have any questions, please contact the Town Administrator at townadmin@westwindsorvt.org. Thank you very much, and we hope to see you on June 15th at 10:00am!
