Planning Commission Opening
The Town of West Windsor is seeking volunteers to serve on the Planning Commission. There is one current vacancy, and up to two additional vacancies are expected by the end of 2025.
This 5-seat Commission monitors the implementation of the Town Plan and revises town regulations as needed, including zoning, subdivision, and flood hazard regulations. The Planning Commission is currently working on an affordable housing project, will be revisiting the zoning map, and will begin work to update the Town Plan in 2026.
The Planning Commission meets at the West Windsor Town Hall on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM and occasionally at other times, as needed.
Helpful, but not required, background for Planning Commission members includes prior work with state or local governments; prior community board service; knowledge of Vermont law, especially land use regulation; experience with surveying, engineering, or construction; knowledge of housing, energy, transportation, natural resources, or economic development policy.
